About us
We are a husband and wife team, both educated to post grad level, with years of experience helping organisations progress focusing on Quality.
We like to network, recently becoming involved with Sustainable Dorset.
We have travelled a lot with work but now live in Dorset.
We have a son at Uni [studying Ecology] & a Westie.

John has worked as a Mechanical Engineer, Quality Engineer & Auditor [Quality Assurance] at:
Horstmanns, Rolls Royce, BSi, RAC, VCA, RDA [Rod Darch Assocs] & his own Consultancy businesses.
At Rolls Royce Bristol, he was part of the team that worked on the engines for Concorde & the Harrier jump jet.
At VCA, [Vehicle certification Agency- Govt], he was posted to the USA [near Detroit], to work for 4 years, where he was a lead auditor in the automotive industry auditing Ford, Honda and Visteon plants & then promoted to office general manager for 2 years answering directly to the Head of American operations. The work involved extensive travel across Europe, USA & Sth America.
Brought to Dorset by RDA, he now has his own consultancy again. John works with a variety of businesses across the South West and into Europe, many are regular clients. Sectors covered are: Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Manufacturing, Distribution & Service.
He is well respected in his field of expertise.
John is also experienced in giving presentations & training sessions.
In his spare time, he has done daring stunts for charity, including abseiling and a parachute jump. He is a long serving committee member & volunteer for a local railway club.

April started working life in Civil Service admin & West End London Theatre Box office as a senior clerk, training others, before going onto higher education. A qualified & experienced adult learning artist tutor [with counselling skills].
Creative, community & business minded, her other roles in the past 15 years have been:
Area Development Co-ordinator, Project & Volunteering Manager in both the Voluntary & Public Sectors [including Dorset County Council children's services, a Dorset homeless charity & running a Volunteer Centre in Glos].
This included:
managing staff & volunteers, writing area business plans, reviving a flagging charity branch [implementing audit, H&S, marketing, staff inductions & training], interviewing, placing & supporting staff & volunteers, website management, developing opportunities, Family learning tutor & lead facilitator delivering presentations, courses & workshops, writing policies & procedures, reporting to Directors & Trustees, achieving QA for an area Volunteer Centre, managing; events, exhibitions, placements, apprenticeships & traineeships, data analysis, appraisals, reviews & risk assessments, implementing strategies & innovative thinking,(in resistant atmospheres of change management & funding depletion), to attain service goals & sustainability whilst ensuring legal requirements.
Newly qualified in Environmental Management (EEF Fd cert), First aid at work trained, an IEMA Associate & co-owner of Clearbrook Management Consultancy, April’s transferable skills, keen eye & up to date knowledge means she is well placed to help businesses gain ISO14001 & Sustainability whilst complementing John's QA, auditing & H&S credentials.
